The monthly report issued by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries revealed that OPEC production increased by 1.798 million barrels per day to 30.412 million barrels per day during the month of April, a month before the start of the implementation of the "OPEC +" agreement to reduce production by 9.7 million barrels per day.
A pessimistic vision came as it expected global demand for crude to decline this year by 2.23 million barrels per day, due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
The agency also reduced its forecast for the growth of global oil demand within the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development during the current year by about 1.2 million barrels per day.
